Invisalign® FAQs

For most mild to moderate alignment cases, Invisalign® is equally effective as traditional braces. For very complex orthodontic cases involving significant bite corrections, traditional braces may still be the preferred option — which we'll assess during your free consultation.

Treatment duration depends on case complexity. Simple cases (mild crowding or spacing) can be completed in 4–6 months. Moderate cases typically take 10–14 months, and comprehensive cases 18–24 months. Your free iTero scan consultation will give you an accurate timeline specific to your teeth.

Some pressure and mild discomfort is normal for the first 2–3 days when switching to a new set of aligners — this is a sign the aligners are working. It is far less uncomfortable than traditional braces and generally manageable without any pain medication.

Aligners must be worn 20–22 hours per day for treatment to progress on schedule. Removing them to eat, drink (anything other than water), and for oral hygiene is fine. Wearing them less frequently can delay your treatment and affect results.
